Genetic testing consists of DNA and RNA analysis to identify alterations related to inherited diseases. Genetic investigations pursue several essential goals:

It is recommended to evaluate genetic testing in the following cases:

  • Presence of a family history of genetic diseases.
  • Manifestation of signs or symptoms suggesting a genetic disorder.

  • Potential transmission of a genetic condition to one's children.
  • Pregnancy, during which it is crucial to assess the risk of genetic diseases in the unborn child.

You can make an appointment at our centers for the test your doctor has recommended. In fact, with prior reservation, tests can also be performed at our laboratories.

  • Withdrawal times.
  • The timing and methods of delivery of reports.

When genetic testing is performed, each sample embarks on a journey through technologically advanced processes within our laboratory. This journey is essential to ensure that each analysis is conducted with the utmost accuracy and reliability.

Here are the main steps, from receiving the sample to sharing the results:

  • The sample arrives at the laboratory.
  • DNA is extracted from the sample.
  • The required genetic testing is performed according to the highest quality standards.
  • Genetic data are processed by state-of-the-art software.
  • A report is created with the results of the genetic investigation.
  • The report is shared with the referring physician.

FOR THE DOCTOR

To reserve a sample pickup, send an email to logisticarm.genoma@ctit.eurofinseu.com or to logisticami.genoma@ctit.eurofinseu.com with the subject line "WITHDRAWAL KIT" specifying:

  • Date and continuous time slot of at least 3 hours of availability for pickup (between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.).
  • Address, indicating any additional specifications such as department, floor, contact person, etc.
  • Number and type of kits to be shipped. Indicate the number of packages, if different from the number of kits.
  • Other (special needs, courier notes).
  • If needed, call the switchboard at 06 164161500 and select the Logistics department.

The reports will be sent by the methods selected when completing the acceptance form.
